Seowoo is a designer and creative technologist based in the Netherlands.

I create data-driven tools and experiences that help people explore, understand, and act—often with a focus on environmental and social systems.

Designing with Data, Code, and Care

My work blends design research, digital prototyping, and systems thinking to make complex datasets usable and meaningful. Whether it's visualizing forest simulations or building LLM-powered data exploration tool, I care about crafting tools that don't just show data—but help people relate to it, reason with it, and use it to make better decisions.

From Concepts to Exploratory Builds

I work across the design and development spectrum, with a focus on early-stage concepting, prototyping, and functional exploratory tools. My projects often involve building interactive web interfaces or integrating AI to engage with messy, human, or spatial data. While I’m not a production-level developer, I enjoy working hands-on to shape ideas into tangible, testable tools.

Currently developing tools at the intersection of generative AI and environmental modeling/monitoring—both independently and in collaboration.

Interfacing Ecological Systems

A recurring thread in my work is ecological data—how we measure, model, and interface with the systems we’re embedded in, from air quality and biodiversity to soil and climate. I’m interested in how design and AI can help surface the nuance in these datasets, turning them into tools for reflection, planning, and care. If you're working on data-driven projects that engage with the environment or other complex systems, I’d love to connect.

Looking for Collaborators

I’m open to working with researchers, technologists, designers, or organizations exploring the future of data-driven tools—especially those tackling environmental or socially relevant challenges. Let’s talk if you're building something thoughtful, experimental, or in-between disciplines.
